A doula offers emotional, informational and practical support to mothers and their families during pregnancy, labour and in the postnatal period.
I offer flexible packages in Oundle and the surrounding area up to about 20 miles, including breastfeeding workshops, practical babycare, help in the home whilst you rest during pregnancy, support through labour and birth and practical support at home folllowing the birth of your baby.
Unlike years ago, when new mums had their family close by for support, women today often live a long away from a close support network. It's then that a doula can be a perfect solution; offering non-judgemental support at a time when you need it most.
I am a qualified professional Doula (level 3 CACHE endorsed) and trained with baby on Board Doulas. I also trained as a breast feeding peer supporter and offer help and support for those wanting to establish breastfeeding, those who have suddenly had brestfeeding problems or those parents who want to find out more about infant feeding option, whether breast or bottle.
